GVC Cambodia is active since 2006 in the field of disaster risk reduction, food security, human trafficking and migrations. Particularly, GVC Cambodia has started a programme that aims to protect Cambodian migrants, especially women and children, in order to strengthen resilience and stop human trafficking and labour exploitation by promoting information, education and legal protection. GVC also carries out humanitarian aid projects and specific development programmes in favour of communities affected by extreme poverty and those stricken by war or natural disasters. GVC Cambodia projects focus on supporting civil society and local authorities to enhance food security in the most vulnerable areas in the rural provinces of Siem Reap, Battambang, Takeo, Prey Veng and Kampong Thom.
