The project aims at improving the response and the resilience capacities of the most vulnerable local communities through needs-based humanitarian aid (HA) in Middle East, Asia, Southern and Central America and Africa with the deployment of 58 EU Aid Volunteers (48 junior, 10 senior) by strengthening the capacities of local organizations and the resilience of local communities. 4 online volunteers will support the work in MENA and Sahel regions. SO1 will strengthen the response and resilience capacity of vulnerable and disaster-affected local communities in MENA and Asia; SO2 in Central and South America and SO3 in Africa. SO4 will be dedicated to reinforce the coordination and capacities of SO and HO to provide more sustainable response to crisis situations and technically comply with EUAV standards. The project is based on learning and best practices identified in ongoing EUAV projects and local ongoing operations in humanitarian aid. The action has been built upon a strong experience of partners in the EUAV Initiative and in HA. The impact will be consistent and will involve at least 750 beneficiaries from SO and HO and around 5.500 beneficiaries from local communities.
