  • About

The project is promoted and implemented by a Consortium composed of 16 partners of which 3 EU Sending Organizations (France, Italy and Spain), 11 third countries Hosting Organizations (India, Indonesia, Ghana, Palestine, Morocco, Bolivia, Peru, El Salvador) and 2 EU Associate partners. The project stems from the experience accumulated by the promoters with EUAV projects PHASE, EVA, SuDHAV and SuDHAV2. Starting from the lessons learnt during these experiences, the project focuses on the goal of Strengthening Capacities of Hosting Organizations in the perspective of Linking Relief, Rehabilitation and Development. For this purpose the project is designed to support Non EU partners in their ability to prepare, manage and evaluate interventions aimed at supporting the local communities in recovering from natural or man-made disasters and resilience building. In order to enhance the hosting organizations capacities, the Consortium will recruit, prepare, deploy and evaluate 34 EU Aid Volunteers for volunteering projects from 6 to 12 months. The EUAV will bring their skills and professional knowledge in the fields of development strategies, fund raising, planning, writing, monitoring and reporting of project proposals, as well as in social business, media communication and digital communication, agriculture, marketing and education, according to the specific needs of each Hosting Organisation. For the same purpose the project will include specific and targeted capacity building activities to reinforce the Non EU partners. The training provided by the volunteers combined with the support provided by the sending organizations will allow Hosting Organizations to achieve greater competence and autonomy in elaborating and running projects aimed at evolving ongoing humanitarian aid in sustainable development initiatives for vulnerable communities. To reinforce the activities, visibility and dissemination actions will also be implemented throughout the project period.
