This EU Aid Volunteer project aims to improve the response and coping capacities of the most vulnerable communities exposed to multiple crises. Activities will strengthen the response and resilience capacity of vulnerable and disaster-affected communities respectively in Middle East and North Africa, Southern America, Central America and Africa.
The project will work through an integrated disaster management approach, boosting and supporting institutional and civic involvement through the deployment of EU Aid Volunteers. Opportunities for EU Aid Volunteers will include disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. They will be supported by online volunteers.
The three sending organisations - GVC, Alianza and Acción Contra El Hambre will work together to deploy 33 EU Aid Volunteers in humanitarian aid operations in 19 hosting organisations (HOs) in 12 third countries (Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Mozambique, Mauritania). Volunteering opportunities will be developed based on the needs identified by the local partner organisations.
