is not only a moral imperative to support democracy, but it also proves
effective towards human, social and economic development, and helps the
pursuit of peace and stability. Democracy support ought to be
comprehensive, long-term and adjusted to local realities. Electoral
assistance, to promote genuine pluralist political participation, is an
important entry point, but is to be accompanied and complemented with
strengthening parliaments and political parties and the promotion of
independent and professional media.
Welcome to this EC-UNDP e-Learning course on the application of ICTs in electoral administration. We believe that, once you have completed the course, your ICT decisions will be better informed and the elections processes you manage (or assist or observe) will be more effective, operationally oriented and sustainable.
