1-To improve field work interventions: improving and standardizing existing interventions reducing synthetic drugs related harm, facilitating their transferability and implementation.
2- To adapt responses to partygoers mobility: increasing harm reduction behaviors among tourist partygoers and reducing crisis situations in recreational settings.
3-To develop innovative responses adapted to youth cultures: developing individual harm reduction strategies through the use of interactive technology tools and emerging media.
4-To develop community empowerment: improving health settings and reducing harm related through community empowerment among European night clubs and events, implementing "Party+" labels within EU cities or regions and involving big summer festivals organizers in harm reduction responses.
5-To implement new projects and to enlarge the network: initiating and supporting emerging projects reducing synthetic drugs related harm in nightlife settings.
6-To improve the rapidity and quality of field responses in relation with new trends, new substances and adulterants.


Eurocare is unique in its role as the leading independent NGO working on alcohol policies in Europe.

Eurocare`s vision is a Europe where alcohol related harm is no longer one of the leading risk factors for ill-health, early death, violence and disability, where innocent third parties no longer suffer from the drinking of others and where the EU and its Member States acknowledge the harm done by alcohol and implement effective and comprehensive policies to tackle it.

The mission of Eurocare is to raise awareness among decision makers of the harms caused by alcohol and to ensure that these are taken into consideration in all relevant EU policy discussions, as well as to promote the development and implementation of evidence based policies and at effectively preventing and reducing the burden brought in by alcohol.

To achieve its mission Eurocare seeks to; influence policy makers, establish collaboration with other organizations sharing our concerns, advocate effective and evidence based alcohol policies, monitor relevant policy developments, monitor marketing practices of the alcohol industry, disseminate information and knowledge through reports, position papers,web site and newsletter.

Our message in regards to alcohol consumption is that "less is better".

The mission of the Correlation Network (CN) is to reduce health inequalities and improve the quality of life of marginalized groups in Europe. CN is committed to vulnerable groups, e.g. drug users, sex workers, migrants, MSM and youth in risk situations, including people living with HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases. CN aims to improve access to and quality of medical and social services in a social Europe, in which these groups have a safe place with the same rights as everyone else.

CN works with everyone involved in providing care to marginalized groups: health professionals, researchers, policy makers, activists and others. CN works closely with various affected communities. We believe in meaningful involvement of marginalised groups in the design and implementation of services, and in decision-making processes.

CN is convinced that exchange of expertise and cooperation at the European level will benefit (health) professionals and communities at the national level.

Communication between network members and other stakeholders will take place face-to-face (e.g. at conferences) and through web-based media.

Correlation Network is committed to a number of guiding principles and core values:
- Vulnerable and marginalised communities are involved in a meaningful way in design and implementation of activities and in decision making processes.
- Activities of the network are based on European exchange and cross-border cooperation, creating synergy and added value for all parties involved.
- Activities of the network involve stakeholders from different professional backgrounds, representing various areas of research, practice and policy.
- Activities of the network are based on general principles of public health and human rights.
- Activities of the network ensure a pragmatic and evidence-based approach, respecting the diversities of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or lifestyle of target populations.
- Activities carried out by the network are evaluated regularly and systematically, monitoring the network`s objectives, results, cost-effectiveness and ethical implications.

To increase the effectiveness of HIV prevention using practical Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) tools, this Joint Action`s objectives are: To train at least 60 experts in participating Member States (MS) to provide capacity building and technical assistance to programs/projects applying QA/QI tools adapted to HIV prevention; to ensure that experts attain the knowledge and skills for providing technical support to those using QA/QI; to liaise with participating programs and projects in support of at least 80 applications of QA/QI tools and to collect and analyse data on the process and results; to develop, adopt and disseminate a Charter for Quality in HIV Prevention` with agreed quality principles and criteria to assess and improve the quality of programs and projects; to produce recommended policy statements and strategic actions for incorporating QA/QI into HIV prevention strategies, policies and action plans at the European, regional and MS levels.


The overall aim of Correlation II is to tackle health inequalities in Europe and to improve prevention, care and treatment services, targeting blood-borne infectious diseases (BBID), in particular Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS among vulnerable and high risk populations (e.g. drug users and young people at risk).

