G1. To establish and operate a network (EUNICE), comprising primary data providers (European Cancer registries) and organizations (ENCR, ACCIS, CAMON, EBCN, ECCSN, CCC, OECI, IAEA, DZFA) with experience in coordination, collection, quality control, standardisation, processing and dissemination of data on health status and health systems relevant to cancer, at European level. G2. To provide the EU health information system with updated and standardised indicators of cancer (disease burden and service provisions). G3. To analyse and interpret collected data to assess variations over time and space, by demographic and socio-economic variables. G4. To ensure maximum availability of cancer data via publications and electronic media (including E-health), while ensuring compatibility of presentation with other portals from the EU, including EUPHIN and EuroStat.


To contribute to the establishment of a system for collection, analysis and dissemination of European community health indicators. To provide sufficient and relevant information for the development of community actions, priorities and objectives in the field of public health. To further stimulate cooperation and sharing of experience between Member states (MS), Accessing (AC), Candidate (CC) and EFTA-EEA countries, community bodies as well as international organisations. To reinforce the network of public institutes for management of the European health survey system. To contribute to the improvement of collection, quality and comparability of health data through health surveys. To build on existing or collectable data and indicators at the MS and CC level. To increase the cooperation on standardization and collection of comparable population based survey health data. To improve access to and transfer of data and information through the European Union (EU) public health portal.


The -Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information- (PPRI) project aims to improve information and knowledge on the pharmaceutical systems in the enlarged Europe, thus - contributing to increase transparency, - providing information and advice for policy-makers on national and European levels, - thus facilitating a regular exchange of information and allowing a process of lessons learning from each other.
