The general idea of this project proposal is based on understanding that the new EU countires have to take proective concerted efforts to develop effective approaches of CAMH promotion in the creative process of interaction between different partners within each country, between new members` countries, and also by using rich experience of EU-15 countries.


To provide realistic estimates of the burden of disease and the costs attributable to infections caused by antimicrobial resistant pathogens in Member States and Accession Countries of the European Union. The strategic goals pursued in the general objective are: - To provide valid data for politicians, policy-makers and public health experts that will allow informed estimates of the burden and the costs of AMR on a national level - To allow a comparison of costs between countries of the European Region. - Recommendations for participating countries/hospitals for implantation effective measures to keep costs caused by AMR to a minimum. - To inform public health authorities throughout Europe, in order to prioritise and plan future health political goals, as against other specific causes of morbidity and mortality in Europe


The general objective of this proposal is the development of indicators to monitor the health status of migrants in Europe by using existing health related databases and surveys. Furthermore, a European network of epidemiological observatories on migrants’ health will be established. This network will generate a European overview of comparable and exchangeable data on socio-demographic and health profile of migrants for selected health problems. Specific attention will be paid to the conceptual, methodological, ethical and practical issue of identifying ethnic minorities in health databases and to the assessment of valid comparisons between migrant groups within countries and between countries.

