All mandatory fields are marked by ‘*’. You must complete these fields to be able to submit a notification.
The network: The mention “AAC/RASFF” next to notification number indicates the network that the notification belongs to. This can be chosen at the beginning when clicking on Create notification. A window will be displayed; you can choose between AAC/RASFF, Food Fraud, Plant Health, Pet Animals or Animal Welfare:
Notification number: Automatically generated by the application following the creation of a new notification.
Reference: Automatically generated once the notification is validated by the EC Validator (RASFF) or shared at national level (AAC, PHN, FFN, PA, AW).
Current Status: Indicates the current status of the notification. There are different steps of the notification workflow. E.g.: New, MS draft, MS Validated, EC escalated, EC Validated.
Notification type (*): Indicates what kind of product the notification is about: feed, food, food contact material etc.
Notification basis (*): Explains the type of event at the basis of the notification: mostly it concerns an official control on the market or at the border. In some cases a product presenting a risk is first detected because of a consumer complaint, company own check or a food poisoning. In such cases, this event is entered here, even if the event was followed-up by an official control.
Notification classification: Assign the notification to one of the categories, according to their definitions in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1715 and ACN WI 3.1.
Notifying chain: Automatically entered by the application; linked to the profile used to log in. Shows the organization tree.
Notifying organisation: Automatically entered by the application. Shows the organization that created the notification.
Date of notification (*): By default, the application registers the date when the notification is created.
Subject (*): Provide the subject of the notification. It should include information about the non-compliance, the product and the origin.
INFOSAN (to be) informed: Select the INFOSAN check box in case INFOSAN should be informed about the notification (ACN WI 3.2).
Reason INFOSAN: If the above check box is selected, you can add the reasons why INFOSAN should be informed.
E-commerce related: Tick this field if the product has been marketed via the Internet. When checking the box ‘e-commerce related’ a new field offering the possibility to check the box ‘Internet search performed’ appears.
Internet search performed: Tick this field in case an Internet search for offers of the product on the web sites in the official language(s) of the notifying country has been performed. If the search has been extended to web sites in other languages or if web shops offering the same product in additional languages have been found, this information should be added under Additional Information section.
Mutual Recognition: This box refers to the implementation of Article 7 of the Regulation (EU) 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/en/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32019R0515
